Eagle Point is known as the Gateway
to the Lakes. Crater Lake and several other mountain
lakes are just north of Eagle Point. The community
of Eagle Point consists of 8,000+ residents located
in the Upper Rogue River Valley of beautiful southern
Oregon. Eagle Point is northeast of Medford along
State Highway 62. It is approximately ten miles east
of Interstate 5 and only 40 miles from the California-Oregon
border.
Eagle Point is a growing part of southern Oregon’s
building boom. The city is home to southern Oregon’s
newest Wal-Mart and the development of new small
shopping malls. The Eagle Point Golf Course was designed
by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The new Harnish Wayside
Visitor Center stands along side Highway 62 and Little
Butte Creek. The Butte Creek Historic Flour Mill
is a must tour when coming to Eagle Point. On many
national holidays, volunteers of Eagle Point salute
our veterans by putting up American flags along the
main streets that lead to the Eagle Point National
Cemetery. |
